About Speeks Electric
Speeks Electric is a family owned and operated electrical business in Springfield. Rex Speeks Sr. started the company in 1982, when he became a licensed electrician in the City of Springfield, and he now runs it with his sons Rex II and James. Together they have more than 65 years of combined experience, and two licensed electricians are on staff.
Homeowners call Speeks Electric for service calls and troubleshooting, rewiring of older homes with as little damage to the house as possible, service upgrades, and wiring for new homes. The team also updates kitchens with under-cabinet, task and decorative lighting, dedicated appliance circuits and GFCI outlets, and upgrades bathrooms with recessed lighting, exhaust fans and vanity lights. They design and troubleshoot lighting throughout the home, and they take commercial and industrial work too.
